Strategic Plan

In 2023, York Land Trust gathered input from board, staff, town officials, partner organizations, local conservation entities, and the public to understand our perception in and impact on our community. With over 100 responses to our survey and nearly 40 conducted interviews, it was clear that the community could see us as better resource by increasing our public access, managing our existing conservation lands, and providing opportunities for people to learn about and engage with these conserved lands through programming and partnerships.

To create a new 5-Year Strategic Plan, we reflected on this input and also on our history and areas of work. What has emerged from this period of introspection is our clearly renewed commitment to prioritize community-centric conservation.
