Want to put your gardening skills to work removing invasive species? Interested in learning about grassland management? Join York Land Trust staff to help prevent the spread of two invasive plants, and Canada thistle.
YLT treated the field for knapweed in 2025, and it’s looking much better! However, a few patches were missed, and we need your help to keep them from spreading. Volunteers will walk through the field, remove the seedheads from knapweed and thistles, and bag them to prevent further spread.
Participants should come prepared with work gloves, closed-toe shoes, long sleeves, long pants, and sturdy footwear suitable for hiking. Bring water and dress in layers as needed.
Tools and materials will be provided. Meet at the YLT office parking lot. Registration is required here.
