Land Use Policies

We are counting on your help to protect the Preserve’s plants, wildlife and water quality. Please observe all of the following guidelines during your visit:

  • Open during DAYLIGHT HOURS only. No fires or overnight stays.
  • Stay on existing trails and do not create new trails. No motorized vehicles allowed.
  • Respect abutting private property. No trespassing.
  • Take only pictures/leave only footprints. Pack-in/pack-out.
  • Take care not to disturb plants and wildlife. No cutting or removal of plants
  • Keep dogs on leash at all times. Please pick up after your pet.
  • Hunting and fishing are permitted unless posted otherwise. Maine laws apply. Wear blaze orange during hunting season.
  • Take precautions against and check frequently for ticks. Ticks are abundant in this area.
  • Please report property damage and trail obstructions by calling 207-363-7400.
