This spring, ReVision Energy outfitted the YLT headquarters with energy efficient heat pumps and a 14-panel solar array on the rooftop of our Community Room. This new setup will allow us to power much of our office with green energy and will reduce our annual fossil fuel consumption by the equivalent of about 500 gallons of gasoline or 5,000 pounds of coal burned each year. These new systems will also substantially reduce our utility costs so that we can commit more of our resources to land conservation.
We hope that the sight of our solar array along Rt. 91 will inspire others who have the means to install renewable energy sources at their own homes and workplaces.
