Climate Series: Rethinking Housing

Access to affordable housing is a big challenge for low and middle income residents in our area, and York’s Climate Action Plan tells us that single family homes are responsible for 46% of York’s carbon emissions. This panel discussion will look at creative ways to solve both of these problems at the same time. Amber Harrison of York Community Services Association and Rozanna Patane of York Ready for Climate Action will talk about Accessory Dwelling Units, Cohousing and other solutions that make housing more accessible, and reduce the negative impact of housing on the climate. Bring your questions and ideas and join us as we Rethink Housing.

This program is free and open to the public. Learn more and sign up here.
